Gluten Free Expo may collect, store and use personal data to provide use of the Service, technical support, and respond to Users’ inquiries.
- Gluten Free Expo Event
We may take photos, and videos of the attendees and vendors in attendance at any of our events, trade shows or exhibitions (“Event”) for upcoming marketing purposes. By attending an Event, you authorize and consent to the use of any such photo and videos by us for the purpose of marketing Gluten Free Expo or the Event by any means including print, television, online or as otherwise determined by us.
Additionally, if you are an attendee at an Event, you must be aware that the vendors at the Event are not sponsored by, or otherwise affiliated with Gluten Free Expo. We are not responsible for those vendors, the content of their products or services, the use of information you provide to them at the Event, or any products or services they may offer. You recognize and agree that Gluten Free Expo is not liable for a third party’s use of your personal data and you should review the privacy policies of these third parties prior to disclosing your personal data.
- Purchase Order for Gluten Free Expo
If you purchase a ticket to attend an Event (“Order”), we will collect personal data including your name and email address from you. Gluten Free Expo will only use such information to send you information and updates pertaining to your Order unless otherwise requested by you.
All billing and payment information that you provide to complete your Order is processed by a third party, such as BeanStream (“Payment Processor”). Personal data obtained for an Order, such as credit card information, billing information and Payment Processor account information (“Payment Information”), is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and encrypted in the Payment Processors database. After an Order, your Payment Information will not be retained by Gluten Free Expo.
- Other Purposes
Additionally, Gluten Free Expo may collect, store, and use personal data to solicit Users’ feedback to help improve the Service and other Gluten Free Expo products, inform Users about new products or promotional material offered by Gluten Free Expo or its trusted third party business partners and affiliates, notify Users about changes to the Service or other products, provide Users with advertising and marketing material from Gluten Free Expo and its trusted business partners and communicate with Users for other commonly accepted purposes such as notifying them that they are a potential winner of a contest.
Finally, Gluten Free Expo may collect and use personal data as required or permitted by applicable law.

Gluten Free Expo may make available links through advertisements or otherwise enable you to access third party products or services. While using such products or services, you are using products or services that are not affiliated with or controlled by Gluten Free Expo. Gluten Free Expo is not responsible for those people or companies, the content of their products or services, the use of information you provide to them, or any products or services they may offer. Providing links or otherwise enabling access to third party products or services does not constitute sponsorship of, or affiliation with those people or companies. You recognize and agree that Gluten Free Expo is not liable for a third party’s use of your personal data and you should review the privacy policies of these third parties.
- User Generated Content
Users may contribute user generated content (“User Generated Content”) to the Service, including but not limited to, recipes as part of the Baker’s Challenge Contest. Any information which Users choose to disclose when contributing User Generated Content to the Service is public information and there is no expectation of privacy or confidentiality. Gluten Free Expo is not responsible for any personal data you choose to make public on the Service.
Gluten Free Expo does not knowingly collect any personal data from persons under the age of eighteen (18) years of age and if Gluten Free Expo learns that it has inadvertently collected or stored personal data from children under the aforementioned age without the consent of their legal guardian, Gluten Free Expo will take reasonable measures to promptly erase such personal data from its records.

Gluten Free Expo may use and disclose to its affiliated companies, contractors or other trusted businesses or persons the collected non-personal data for the purpose of auditing, researching and analyzing usage of the Service, ensuring the technical functionality of the Service, marketing, advertising and to further develop the Service and other Gluten Free Expo products.
- Cookies, Beacons and Tracking
Gluten Free Expo may use “cookies” and other technologies such as pixel tags, locally shared objects, clear GIFs and web beacons. Gluten Free Expo treats information collected by cookies and similar technologies as non-personal data.
A “cookie” is a small bit of record-keeping information that is sent to the Users’ computer. Gluten Free Expo’s cookies do not include personal data and may be used to: (1) remember Users’, (2) help Users navigate around the Gluten Free Expo’s websites, (3) monitor how many people are using the Service, and (4) store Users preferences and track trends.

- If Gluten Free Expo receives your consent;
- If Gluten Free Expo has a good faith belief that access, use, preservation or disclosure of such personal data is reasonably necessary to:

- detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues;

4. Choices for Personal Data
You may choose to withdraw your consent to the use, collection or disclosure of your personal data as outlined in this Policy at any time. If a User withdraws his or her consent, then Gluten Free Expo may no longer be able to provide the same level of Service.
Users are also given the opportunity to “opt-out” of having their personal data used for specific purposes such as receiving newsletters or other information from Gluten Free Expo.

Gluten Free Expo takes appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction of data. Gluten Free Expo employs physical, electronic and/or procedural safeguards to protect its systems and all personal data under its control against unauthorized access and use. All safety and security measures are appropriate to the sensitivity level of the information collected.
6. Accuracy and Access/Control over Personal Data
Gluten Free Expo processes personal data only for the purposes for which it was collected and in accordance with this Policy. Gluten Free Expo may take reasonable steps to ensure that the personal data processed is accurate, complete and current, but Gluten Free Expo is not responsible for verifying the correctness of personal data.
Gluten Free Expo will allow you to access your personal data in the custody or control of Gluten Free Expo, and you may request that Gluten Free Expo:
- update or correct such personal data;
- change your preferences with respect to communications and other information received from Gluten Free Expo; or
- delete your personal data on Gluten Free Expo’s primary system, by submitting a request to Customer Support.

Gluten Free Expo may still retain some of the data to the extent such retention is necessary to resolve disputes, enforce Gluten Free Expo’s user agreements, and comply with technical and legal requirements and constraints related to the security, integrity and operation of the Service.

Tickets are only valid if purchased directly from GlutenFreeExpo.ca. Third party tickets will not be accepted. No other parties have been authorized to sell tickets to the Gluten Free Expo. Re-sales are prohibited. All sales are final, and non-refundable.
